Indeed peut être employé comme conjonction en tête de proposition, mais cet emploi est plus rare qu’ "En effet" en français. L’anglais a tendance à employer for ou deux points (:)

Indeed peut aussi être employé comme adverbe pour renforcer une affirmation :
