Well (= bien) est l'adverbe correspondant à l'adjectif "good" (= bon). Le néerlandais et l'allemand ne font pas la différence entre les deux; l'anglais, si.

She is a good singer; she sings very well.
Elle est une bonne cantatrice; elle chante très bien.
Ze is een goede zangeres, zij zingt heel goed.
Sie ist eine gute Sängerin; sie singt sehr gut.

Le « bien » de « moi bien » ne se traduit pas par l' adverbe well, comme c'est le cas en néerlandais ou en allemand.

Elle n'aime pas la bière; moi, si.
Zij houdt niet van bier; maar ik wel.
She doesn't like beer, but I well.
=> She doesn't like beer, but I do.

Je le sais bien.
Dat weet ik wel.  
I know it well.

Well, ... peut être employé comme ouverture d'une affirmation, surtout en réponse à une question:

"What did he say when he received the announcement ?" – "Well, he didn't say very much."
"Qu' a-t-il dit quand il a reçu l'annonce ?" — "Eh bien, il n'a pas dit grand-chose."

Avec une intonation descendante-ascendante, Well peut refléter une hésitation polie, ...

"Would you like to stay ?" — "↘Well..., not really."
"Aimerais-tu rester ?"  — "A vrai dire, pas vraiment. ..."

... ou une façon indirecte de dire "non" :

"Will you do the job for nothing ?" – "↘Well..."
"Acceptes-tu de faire le boulot pour rien ?" – "Ben ..."
