  • Goed en néerlandais peut être adjectif et adverbe. En anglais, l'adverbe correspondant à l'adjectif good est well.
Ze zingt echt goed.

  • En anglais, le participe correspondant à une relative elliptique suit le nom, plutôt que de le précéder, alors qu'en néerlandais, il précède généralement :
De door ons gelezen boeken, de in de kerk ontmoete mensen, de op de markt gekochte groenten, ...
The by us read books, the in church met people, the on the market bought vegetables, ...
=> The books read by us, the people met in church, the vegetables bought at the market, ...
Hij was al eerder getrouwd geweest, wat ik niet wist.
