En anglais, Information (= "information") est un nom non-comptable, toujours singulier, qui n’est pas employé au pluriel, ni avec un article indéfini.
Pourriez-vous m'envoyer quelques informations au sujet du concours ? => Could you send me some information about the competition ? (non pas :some informations)
L'équivalent anglais de "les informations" (le journal parlé ou télévisé) est News, un nom non-comptable, singulier.
I heard about the terrorist attack on the nine o'clock news. J'ai entendu parler de l'attaque terroriste aux informations de neuf heures. The news is broadcast every two hours. Les informations sont diffusées toutes les deux heures.
