Indeed

Indeed peut être employé comme conjonction en tête de proposition, mais cet emploi est plus rare qu’ "En effet" en français. L’anglais a tendance à employer for ou deux points (:)

Il fallait pas mal de patience pour l’écouter; en effet, il parlait très lentement.
Listening to him demanded a lot of patience; for he was a very slow speaker.

Indeed peut aussi être employé comme adverbe pour renforcer une affirmation :

That was a very beautiful performance indeed.
Ah oui: ça c'était vraiment une très belle représentation.

I am, indeed, a Marine officer.
Je suis effectivement officier de marine.

I like the boy ... very much indeed. 
J'aime bien ce garçon ... vraiment bien.
